In a coaching relationship, the coach does not give you advice or set you goals and tasks. The skill of the coach is in asking the right questions, in order to help you access the answers and solutions you have within you.
I usually start a new coaching relationship with an informal conversation about coaching, to find out what you want to get out of it, and to check we both feel we will get along.

NLP (neuro-linguistic programming)
NLP uses the brain’s natural ways of learning, together with careful use of language, in order to bring about rapid and lasting improvements. It includes a range of methods and processes which can help with any number of things that might be preventing you from having the life you want.
Whether you want to let go of phobias, allergies, fears and issues from the past, make the most of your relationships at home and work, make important decisions about your future, or just generally want to feel happier and more fulfilled, there is an NLP technique that can help you.
Hypnotherapy is another established way to help you change behaviours, and to feel more in control of your life. Building on the NLP techniques described above, being in a very focused and receptive state of mind can help you make changes even more quickly.
When you are in this state of mind, you remain fully aware of what is happening. It is similar to your state of awareness when you are so completely absorbed in something that you don’t notice how much time has passed!
I use this technique in conjunction with NLP and coaching, depending on your situation and what you tell me about what you would like to change or achieve.
